Since graduating from Southern Methodist University Law School in Dallas, Texas in 1984, I have actively practiced personal injury law in Texas and then in Illinois.

During the past 11 years, I have served as managing partner of the Illinois law firm Fearer, Nye, Ahlberg & Chadwick. The firm was founded in 1878 and has been family-run throughout its 123 years. It is recognized as the seventh longest, ongoing, family run law firm in the State of Illinois. I am the fourth generation in my family to practice law with the firm.

I have served as a continuing legal education speaker for the American Trial Lawyers Association. My professional memberships include the American Trial Lawyers Association, Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, Texas State Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association.
